We inspect the forklift's operating condition, fluid level and condition, controls, linkages, electrical inputs and related drivetrain components. When applicable, we retrieve fault codes and test the systems that control travel and directional engagement.

Forklift Will Not Move Forward or in Reverse

A forklift that will not move may have a transmission problem, but the cause can also involve a directional switch, a wiring fault, safety interlock, low fluid level, linkage problem, parking brake or internal drivetrain failure.

Forklift Transmission Slipping and Delayed Engagement

Forklift Transmission-Fluid Leaks

Transmission fluid can leak from seals, gaskets, hoses, fittings, coolers or damaged housings. Low fluid may cause pressure loss, overheating, slipping and accelerated internal wear.

We locate the source of the leak and inspect the surrounding components before recommending repairs. Adding fluid without repairing the leak does not correct the underlying problem.

Forklift Drive Axle and Differential Repair

The drive axle transfers power from the transmission to the wheels. Worn bearings, damaged seals, differential wear and internal gear problems may cause leaks, vibration, excessive movement or unusual noises while the forklift travels.

Mobile Diagnosis and In-Shop Transmission Repair

Initial diagnosis, fluid-leak inspection, control testing and some external transmission repairs can be completed at the customer's location. Repairs requiring transmission removal, internal disassembly or specialized equipment normally need to be completed at our Victorville shop.

We can arrange forklift pick-up and delivery when the equipment cannot be repaired safely or efficiently at the customer's location.

Preventive Transmission and Drivetrain Maintenance

Regular inspection and maintenance can help identify fluid leaks, contaminated fluid, unusual noises and control problems before the forklift loses movement.
